It’s already the end of February. The years seem to be getting faster and faster. There is a theory that every year is a smaller and smaller percentage of your life. When you were 4 years old, one year seemed the longest time. In fact, it was a quarter of your whole existence. Today, at 40, it’s just a fortieth. Yet, we have to do so much more in what seems like so much less time. This creates all sorts of pressures.
The interesting thing is that successful people thrive on pressure. You know the old saying, “If you want something done then give it to someone busy.” The reason for this is that busy people know how to prioritise, and use their time in the most efficient manner, in order to get the best results from the time available. What’s important to note is that the busy person has exactly the same amount of time available as the person who is not.
You can tell successful people by the way they walk (fast) and the way they talk (with purpose) and the way they respect both their, and other’s, time. Try something this week - try walking 10% faster and going to all your meetings with an agenda in mind. Let me know if you feel any difference in how you feel about yourself and how others are perceiving you. |
